Upstream Boat Trip to the Falls To reach Pagsanjan Falls, visitors have to ride on bancas (native canoes) manned by skilled boatmen. It takes about 1 hour boat ride to the upstream with the guide of 2 boatmen. Going thru the rapid upstream, the boatmen will get down and use their feet to kick the rocks to propel the boat. Upon arriving the gorgeous falls, a raft will take you to the devil's cave, so named because the shape of the cave shape like a devil's face, which is behind the thundering falls. The base of Pagsanjan Falls is a huge natural swimming pool. Its water is clean and rather cold, and you have a chance for a little swim inside the cave.
