@TheoCorf Signomi, milate POLI LIGA elinnika! Yeah the original cypriots were by most accounts from lebanon/syria area, but when the myceneans came I'm sure they mixed, there must be a reason that Greek culture has thrived in Cyprus ever since. In my family there are greek from other islands like Lesbos and cypriots and other islanders have always mixed.

@Italicorum3500 Yeah and Cyprus, apperently this Griko is very similar to cypriot dialect, meaning are both closer to ancient Greek than standard Greek.
