I am not out there bashing on jeeps. Jeeps are great for a day trip and having a great time. All trucks have pros and cons, but I wouldn't want to take a jeep on a 2 week expedition or long trip.

I like what you were saying about Monteros and the dakar rally. Last year the only Jeep in the dakar rally placed 125th, out of 128. Hahaha, and the highest place Mitsubishi was 11th place. Some (most) Americans just don't trust the outside world.

Then why did the fuckin little jeep wrangler get stuck out in the fuckin water. The montero didn't get stuck not even once. So stop hatin on mitsubishi's cuz u know for a fact that the jeep ain't got shit on the montero when it comes to off-roading and performance!!!

I would much rather push a jeep than drive a mitsubishi . . . . but i'm going to have to agree with you i took my 04 trail rated sport wrangler to arkansas that was a 10 hour drive, i had no cruise (avg mph 58 (i did not want to run my trans too hard) avg mpg 16) i was riding on a 3 inch lift h/d axles and suspension (too long for details) but i did mount a set of street tires on seperate set of rims and i was sore from the suspension and the uncomfortable ride. Much rather would of rode Mitsubi

Marcus! Did you shoot this film? Towards the end where a Gen1 beige montero is jumping in the sand dunes, do you know who's car that was? I think its the car I bought and now own, if theres a high-lift jack on the front bumber and a red gas can on the spare :)

its true jeeps are good short distance off roaders, i mean do u ever see any militarys using jeeps? i mean all they are any good at is rock crawling, but thats after theres tons of aftermarket stuff. i mean i would take a montero or land rover any day if it was a life and death choice
