The famous ragtime piece, composed by Scott Joplin. His music became very popular again thanks to the 1973 movie, "The Sting." This arrangement is from the book "Fingerpicking Joplin." (I changed just a very few notes, and as usual, didn't do the repeats that the piece calls for.) I DO have to practice it more, of course - especially that last part! (Scott Joplin said: "It is never right to play ragtime fast.") (That makes me feel a little better.)

  • Wow. Does that guitar have more than 12 frets till it meets the body?

  • @InvalidMiner No, it's a standard Alhambra guitar - model 10 F flamenco guitar - with 12 frets up to the

body, then 7 more frets up to the sound hole.

  • i only know 30seconds of this song and its incredible to hear it played all the way through even at a slow speed. great playing : ) keep up the good work

  • @Myeviltwin100 Many thanks for your nice comment. (I still have to work on that last part, of course.) It's a tricky piece, that's for sure.

  • Nice playing ! Learning things really slowly is what I always do, and like you say pieces often look harder than they really are, at first. Just memorizing these notes is a feat in itself so congratulations ! (Oh and thanks for your comment on my vid 9 months ago I just noticed I hadn't replied)

  • @dayglo98 Many thanks for your comment -- greatly appreciated!
