@chad2133 How many do you have to buy? Mine from 1995 still looks and functions like new.

Thank you ruger dude

@asg00001 Yes, it has a very strong firing pin. Dry firing it will not hurt it.

I got this video all ready and fully buffered expecting that I would need it but I didn't. The only problem I had in reasembling it was pulling bach the charging handle while I put the bolt back in. This rifle is a lot easier to clean than my dads Glenfield model 60. I had a hell of a time putting that thing back together.

God bless u my cousin said he wiuld clean it for me no problem but he broke the gun and for a wihle i had no clue how to clean it amd fured it dirty and broke it a gain but now i wont have any more trouble

Excellent video. Never had disassembled a gun before to clean and put it back together. Had no trouble. Much better to watch the video and do it than wrestle with the explanations in the owners manual

@noinlair on some rifles it can over stress the firing pin and cause it to break off. but the 10/22 has a thick bar shaped firing pin that shouldnt be damaged by dry firing. when u take it apart look. youll see what i mean

@thisisyourgrandma make sure to hold the two parts where the screw goes into together when screwing in the screw

please help. my barrel band isn't staying in position. even when fully tightened

this is the worst tutorial ever. who skipps partes in a reeasembly tutorial?
I've heard a lot of conflicting opinions on dry-firing a rimfire.
Is it bad to do it too regularly?

All Ruger rifles can be dry fired without damage, and dry firing can be useful to familiarize the owner with the firearm. However, be sure any firearm is completely unloaded before dry firing!
