And THIS is why Disneyland will always be better.
-
are you kidding? everyone in america loves Chinese new year. a party every night, food, entertainment, what's not to love?
-
Nice!! I live in Hong Kong. I never realise that USA people like to celebrate Chinese New Year.
-
this is the original disneyland, in anahiem California

Lamest Dragon Dance I ever saw...& I've seen way better ones at my temple here in Canada and Downtown T.O. Off key tempo, no fat (stuffed to make him look fat) dude waving palm leaf fan and chastising the mischievous dragons, no dragon tricks (I mean come on the people performing were part of some kung fu association), no firecrackers, no playful tricks on kids, must I go on?
-
Wow, Disneyland you can do really better than this.
Why not dress up New Orleans in to a Chinatown theme and have a parade.
Where is the Cabbage and the Fire Crackers?
-
Where eas this Disneyland?
It did not look like the Disneyland in Hong Kong. I guess here was somewhere in USA.

I was backstage when the dragon show was starting. The dragons come out of ToonTown. If you look at the back of ToonTown, there is a cartoony brick wall. Through there there is where the floats are serviced and the rides. I was there for the Disney Band Recording

@SailorScoutBetsy Pretty sure the idiot on the gong is like 8... so cool your jets.
-
WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the music is TERRIBLE!!!!!!!!! that idiot on the gong can't keep a steady tempo.!!! And what the helll are they doing with there feet in the beginning?! It's not some sort of break dance losers. Plus everybody knows that the only reason lion dancing groups agree to perform is cause they're getting money off the crowd. these idiots are so completely UNtraditional. and these idiots call themselves Chinese. SHAME on them! I am completely embarrassed by this terrible performance
This is great that Disney is celebrating other cultures. But they are called lions not dragons and you should check out Leungs white cranes, they perform every year at the San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade at the end with the Lions Dancing and the Giant Dragon at the end, Ive been helping the kids with the moon, sun and animal sign (which is right before the dragon) for the past 2 years. :)
