Sooo New Story for the New Year :)

I opened the truck of my old car and pulled my dirty bag out of it. Finally free. The first words I could think of when I saw the huge lake in front of me. Freedom, I could finally live on my own, sure I had to struggle with money for the moment but I hoped it would get better, I could work on it. I had saved money for this since so long.
I looked at the little cabin I owned. It was my grandmother's, she and her family went here for vacation when she was little. I walked up to the green cabin and smiled at it. I had fainted old memories here. [ http://www.bctravel.com/ucluelet/thecabinsterracebeach/images/cabins_one.jpg ] I spend my childhood here, with my family, when we all were happy.

~ "Grandma! Grandma! Joey and I are going to play on the beach!" Little Demetria's grandma nodded, she had taken Joe into her heart immediately after his mom married Demetria's dad and he became her brother. "Be careful you two!" Joe nodded and they both ran out of the door.~

I smiled at the old memories, I knew I was going to have a lot of them, another reason why I came here. To remember the happy times in my life, after everything changed. I unlocked the door, I inherit this cabin from my grandmother after she died 5 years ago. Everything was still the same the only difference was the dust. I set my bag down on ground before walking further into the cabin. It was small, two small bedrooms upstairs and a kitchen and living room downstairs along with a small bathroom but I loved it because I knew I spend happy summers here. My grandma and until I turned 8 my grandpa always took me here with my older cousins, my dad was always working and didn't have time for me. I loved the summers, I never wanted them to end.

I looked at the pictures on the wall. The one of me and Joe stood out from them all. I took it down from the wall and held it in my hands. Our first summer together, our parents had just married and went on their honeymoon while Joe and I went with my grandma and my youngest cousin Nick. Nick was already 17 and took his girlfriend Selena with him, me and Joe were sleeping with my grandma while Nick and Selena had the two single beds in the other bedroom.
Our grandma took the picture as Joe and built our very first sand castle.

~"Joey Stop!" Ten years old Demi giggled, she and her step brother got along very well since the very first moment. They both laughed when Demi started to wrestle Joe. "You are to small" He pulled her away not expecting Demi to push him and he fell down on their sand castle together. "Joe" Her eyes turned sad, they had worked on it very hard and now it was gone. "Demi... I'm sorry" he watched her starting to cry and slowly crawled over to her. "Aw sweethearts what happened? I just wanted to take a picture of your castle with you two" "We fell onto it" Demi sobbed again. Her grandma sat down on the ground, she laid the camera next to her and took Joe and Demi in her arms. "Hey you two there is no need to cry, we can still build a new one" "We can?" Their Grandma nodded. "Of course. C'mon let's start and we might still surprise Nick when he and Selena will come back" Their eyes light up again and they started all over again. ~

I smiled and wiped my tears away, yes I had cried. My life had been so hard I enjoyed thinking of happy times. I hung the picture back on the wall and continued to walk through the cabin. I needed to go shopping tomorrow, luckily I had saved some money for at least a few months.
I decided to eat the left over pizza I had picked up last night, I sat down outside, watching the sun set over the lake, I noticed people on the other side of the lake, probably people on vacation.

I was lucky starting a new life here.
