The mystery of Dorothy Kilgallen's death is commented upon somewhat intriguingly by Johnnie Ray in this fourth and final consecutive clip from the interview with Joe Franklin.

  • It is obvious he cared a lot about Dorothy Kilgallen. I watch the old What's My Line episodes on GSN every night and I absolutely adore her. I think she is someone I would like to have know. To this day I believe she was murdered. Seems anyone Kennedy related dies;.

  • @spagandtuna...doubtful Johnnie was dementing as he was very close to Dorothy & this was why he was pumped on the subject...

  • Johnnie Ray appeared on the old WTTG Panorama show back in the mid 60's with a very young Maury Povitch, Barbara Howar, and John ? Anyway, the poor dear was lip-synching to one of his hits when the record started to skip, over and over and over again, the same part of the song. It was very embarrassing for him as it went on for a good 30 seconds like that. He carried on though like a trooper.

  • Johnnie Ray was probably dementing. Doubt the credibility of anything he had to say on the subject. Kilgallen's decline due to drug abuse was visually documented during WML beginning in 1961 or so.

  • even he was afraid to speak out..go figure

  • Honey, I completely agree with you...and I WOULD love that video of the last episode of WLN. She WAS sweet and I think completely misunderstood. I am also very pissed off that GSN isn't showing any of the old game shows in the middle of the night now. I taped them faithfully and came home and watched them at lunch. Stupid GSN!

  • ill take it a step further..sinatra really had a go at her..i think she made some speculation that he had mob ties..and then he goes and calls her the "chin-less" wonder..i think she is very attactive..she was mid 30s i guess when WML started..i dunno what it is..she is just sweet...i wonder if she was afectionate...

  • Too bad the interview with WOR's Joe Franklin for the past century or so is not in one piece. Yes, he had definite knowledge of Dorothy's death and take at as you choose, he, and other claim she was going to expose JFK's death and upon her stating that she suddenly died. I hope you're with her somewhere Johnnie, DonStM

  • how right you are...

its not beyond thought that a woman who covers therater for a living vould fall in love with a performer like she did with JR...if you check youtube you will find the last whats my line she ever did on the night she died..some people think she didnt look right that night or that something was not right..i know i saved it in my vids check with me if you want it..I think dorothy kilgallen was cute and im only 35:)
