You are exactly right MIZQUITLI. I had bought mine (1982 280zx 2+2) for 1200$ and even that was too much. First car though so, to be expected unfortunately. When I buy another (coupe this time) its gonna be a 280zx or early 300zx. Anyways, check out my channel to see my car and the amatuer fixing the rust and then having to replace the head gasket.

@ponchoyo Well you kinda have to play around with it. The wires will be different colors. Trial and error with which wires go with which. but no rewireing though.

how'd u install the radio? did you rewire stuff? I just wanna put a sony cheapo head unit in, but i think i will need an amp cause the stock one is too weak?.

I may be picking up a 79 NA for 1000$ today, runs pulls good, looks decent, 5 speed. I just want it for a daily driver til I get my WRX runnning again and then I will donate the car to a friend or a shop to have fun with it.

Really You paid too much, but at least you got one. Believe it or not these cars aren't worth much Ive seen people sell em for 16k or more and never sell em close to that price or not sell em at all. Mine was $250 non faded paint, aftermarket wheels, flowmaster exhaust but I guess it depends who you get it from.
