Foreclosure impact on Pets

I took a trip to the Animal Control building the other day after someone told me about the increase in the amount of animals there. Not only have families had to give up their homes, but also their pets. Not all rentals allow pets and even in financial trouble, people do the right thing and offer them up for adoption. I can't say that is true of all the animals there, because some were rescued from abandoned homes. Animals left to fend for themselves with no one to care for them. The housing situation is bad enough. These animals just want a new home.

I have two dogs of my own (one right from this shelter) and I know if my wife and daughter read this article, we will have more. So, I am begging you to spread the word and help these animals. I don't have room for anymore. There is no more room on my bed for another dog and I am allergic to cats. I don't need a bunny or another hamster.

You know I'm sick of the US government letting people get evicted and thier foreclosed on and all the trillions of dollars they are giving away to banks and organizations that are only going to pump that money into the hands of a few rich elite. We should have gotten a fraction of this money to use it to keep our families together including our pets! This is a shame and I will remember what they have done to us for the rest of my life!

Gosh if only i have more room, i have 3 rescue in my home right now 3 dogs 1 cat

one is 15 yrs old dog the other 6 yrs and 1 1/2 yrs old cat is 14. even though i have a home witha backyard is hard to take more. :(

i think animals have it worst then ppl. this has nothing to do with them and now ppl who loved them and had them all there life are focred to give them up and due to just how many animals are ending up at pounds lately they prob will never find a home its very sad
