The use of BPL makes no sense when you consider that there's already coaxial cable and fiber optic lines which also travel along the poles and don't cause interference.

This is a fine example of this vile and Disgusting harmfull interference that this crap generates.

I thought this crap was dead, but it's about to be rolled out in Liverpool, UK. :(

This is absolutely awful. I thought the interference from my plasma TV to 160m and 80m in particular was bad until I saw this. Hope these trials have ended in failure??

I would like to say great video which it is, but the info is very disturbing in more ways than one, But if these big companies, pushing this rubbish want to go bankrupt 5thay are going the right way about it , We need to find the share holders of these companies. I Believe it is BT in England And make sure they know the company there money is on A suicide Track.

I would like to know if the DV (digital voice) could be the "solution" to us, HAM's...
Sorry for the poor english

PLS Dont Blame All BPL Manufacturer Causing Problems as did DS2 and Mitshubishi in Hobart. In My Experience, DS2 and Mitshubishi is using to much Power to Cover its defective BPL Products. Intellon doesnt create that much Interferece problem ( more Eviromental Friendly )

If this shit hits USA, argg i would be pissed, would this give problems for ppl listening 2 sw/ssb from usa 2 Australia, the SW tramsmitters should over power it but im just making sure
Just a quick question - I'm not technically minded on any of this, so please forgive my ignorance.
I know some people who lives right in amongst that BPL trial area who have said that their phone lines and internet have been woefully bad over the past several months.
In your expert opinion, could this be caused by this trial - Yes or No?
Thanks in advance.

Without knowing more information about the equipment, environment and what is being experienced then I couldn't say whether it was a BPL issue or not. Suggest they contact their phone/ISP provider.

too much interference in built up areas but may work in rural country areas and for people who live in outback areas with little or no broadband access...would cause less problems in those areas.

The economics of rolling BPL out in a rural area where there are only a few consumers per square mile/km would mean the cost/benefit would be negative and most companies wouldn't bother.
