    They did not say anything wrong - GDP per capita is not the average amount of money all the citizens of a given country made, but the overall income of the country divided buy the number of citizens - just to hypothetically show how much money one citizen should earn yearly if everyone in the country earned the same amount. Whereas in many countries this is more or less a reliable source of information on individual people's income, in this case it is far from so...
