Fish caught:

11lb and 6lb carp

Signs of spring arriving on the LA river- birds singing, carp feeding in the shallows and leaves returning to the trees- just as well as there mostly covered in the grocery bags people leave there.
Fish shown here feeding under my feet, ate a load of boilies but wouldn't touch my rig until night fall. Kudos to blackstone carp for the boilie recipe: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ooGV65Jijqo

  • Sweet. Great to see they worked for ya. Always good to get feedback and interesting to see what works well where.

I'm itching to get some fishing of my own done, the rivers round me are high but the canals/lakes are finally thawing...

  • I think the protein from the dog biscuits really makes a huge difference from my old boilies. I've caught doubles the last three sessions. Hope it thaws so you can get some carping in. tight lines.
