Family Easter 2008 at the Sankampaeng Hot-Springs near Chiang Mai city Thailand. Our friends from Philippines came to visit us for few days. We spent time dining and relaxing together. We enjoyed hot bath in natural spring water, swimming, talking and cooking eggs. Chiang Mai is one of Thailand's main destinations for natural hot springs, Sankampaeng probably the best known of them. Chiang Mai is blessed with excellent scenery and its hot springs are set against trees, hills and countryside which make them excellent locations for treks and other activities. Water from the province's springs has very high sulfur content and this is believed to be the main reason its curative qualities.
Sankampaeng Hot Springs is an ideal destination for those interested in health and well-being. Natural spring emitting water with high sulfur content, the spring is said to cure ailments and rejuvenate the body. The water has a temperature in excess of 100 degrees centigrade and the area is so active that there is ongoing research into how to tap the springs as a potential energy resource. Springs are very nice place for relaxing. Sea mists early in the morning. One of the springs spouts 20 meters in the air. We bought eggs and boiled them at the specially designated spot. ศศินันท์ สุนิสา กลีบรัง sasinan sunisa kleebrang
