I feel hope. I see a lot of people who never watched or payed atention to Carl Sagan, now, thanks to internet, are dicovering him.
Read his books, you'll love them. He was an intelligent man and a bright scientist. He also was the one to share his knowledge in plain words with ordinary people like us -not many scientists liked it. He made us love science and care about the world.

Carl Sagan was a poet

I've loved space ever since I was a young lad. I've only just come across this poignant message and I think I have a new found respect and admiration for everything. The vastness of space and our miniscule presence in it is mind blowing when put in perspective.

@2plus2is9 Just like Yakko said in his Universe Song from Animaniacs.

I loved Sagan and I don't say this only because he has deceased but because i truly believe so that he was an artist of life, he was a poet and a humble saint.
''The pale blue dot'' by Carl is the most heart touching short piece of literature masterpiece the world will ever get.

@PoFFizdaMan You're in good company with Einstein & Sagan.
"The religion of the future will be a cosmic religion. It should transcend personal God and avoid dogma and theology. Covering both the natural and the spiritual, it should be based on a religious sense arising from the experience of all things natural and spiritual as a meaningful unity." -- Albert Einstein

We are infinitely small. Our planet is not the center of the universe. From 4 billion miles away we appear to be a pale blue dot. And from further still...not even that.
However, we ARE in a privileged position. Because we are alive. Because we can make choices. We have the power to change things around us and within us.
