An awesome Quawwali and performance of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan from the album "Shahen-Shah". In my opinion the best recording albums of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. From the Realworld Label. Enjoy, comment and vote it!

  • Oh, great Nusrat beyond death, beyond the heavens, your magical voice, unique spiritual challenges us to show us the path of beauty and love. After having you listen How can we still hurt and hair?

  • I have no idea the meaning of these words, but like the sound of them. A very inspirational rhythm and song... give me goose bump whenever I listen to the CD. The man is really committed to his art. Thanks for posting.

  • @mscommerce, that's a start but I need the rest of them. I'm in studio in December and I'm considering doing this one.

  • Khudaa kaa nuur tujh meN huu-ba-huu hai Khudaa pinhaaN magar tuu ruu-ba-ruu hai terii azmat kaa andaazaa ho kis ko Khudaa hai aur Khudaa ke baad tuu hai The light of God is reflected in you God is hidden but present are you. Who can imagine your greatness, when there is God and thereafter you. Shams-ud-duhaa Badr-ud-dujaa terii baRii tauqiir hai suurat terii shaah-e-umam, Allah kii tasviir hai O the bright sun!, O the moon in darkness!, you are revered greatly. etc. etc.
  • This is still one of the best "coming down" tracks ever made.

  • Where can I get an English translation of the lyrics? This guy is amazing!

  • I dont know the words, but i hear the ecstasy, and i know the God in my heart is Great.

  • there was only one nusrat there is only one nusrat and there will be only one nusrat.

  • @laelamarie1 Thank you very much Laela, for this compliment! That's very kind of you, but the real credits go to the talent, wisdom and deep faith of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, and to Tiad for exposing him with a beautiful video. I can only keep my eyes and ears open for musicians like him, just as you do :). It's great how we meet through music!

  • @3DDoor this comment is, for me, the most insightful and truthful I have encountered. You have concisely and accuratey placed a most keen observation. Bless you Door - it is the people such as yourself and tiad that create positive changes for this world!

  • v In addition... maybe I had to say 'was' a musician, but great music just does not die in my opinion. Thanks!!! Door

  • Thanks a lot for the upload of this beautiful performance! I don't know the lyrics, but Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan is a musician who performs religious music in a way that it can speak to everyone, simply because he puts his whole talent, personality and heart and soul into it, his anger and despair included. No wonder that he's an example for many people and that a lot of musicians cooperated with him. He speaks and sings beyond words, like some kind of universal prayer.
