The original Diablo running in Wine using PlayOnLinux. Using Wine version 1.1.26 and a modified ddraw.dll that was made for Worms and other games whose menus wouldn't render properly... Diablo fell into that category.

I have to run the game in a window because if it was running at full screen it would flash back and forth between the game and my desktop. Probably an issue caused by my crappy integrated graphics card (Intel 945GM)... I've had all sorts of issues with this card.

Anywho, game comes up, runs, and is (so far) fully playable if you don't mind running it in a window. I can probably bump up the size of the window and the game would probably scale with it, but I just leave it at 800x600 and call it a day... better than nothing.

I really wish Blizzard would go back and opensource their old games that they're not really making any money off of... but, even if they're making a penny a decade... they'll keep it closed source, that's just how Blizzard works.
