POWER MOVES FOREVER QUEST is a dance-theatre performance inspired by classic video games to explore the physical limitations of the body through simulating video game interactions. Beginning in the post-apocalypse of City-World, Player 1 transports herself to the 8-bit video game, Forever World, where she overcomes moving obstacles by attaining POWER MOVES in the desert, jungle, sea, subconscious and finally, outer space. As a... simulation of a video game, Power Moves Forever Quest is an intersection of real and virtual.
Directed by Claire Cote, with music by Dan Breen, Josh Van Horne, Chase O'Hara and Dan Deacon. Puppetry and costume design by Kaitlin Murphey, Clarissa Gregory, Marcela Villa, John Marra and Alex Vizzio. Live video art by Chris Balint. Performed by Effervescent Collective and friends.
