@mrduffy1100 How dare they scream when their people die, what about the others of a different faith or religion, do they not care? The west must stop killing people and then perhaps we may have some peace around the world. The west are not god, they do not hold the power or right to do whatever they want in this world. They should stop invading and occupying and supporting countries that kill people in their own countries.
the american captain who shot down the iranian passer jet was never punished he continued to do his service in the us navy and was awarded a medal for his services it is for certain that this was a revenge attack its just disgracefull that both innocent people was caught up in the atrocity the us new about the bomb being on the plane in a tipoff and they let it take off without being searched i believe the man they held resposable is a innocent man and the us framed him

Stop the US killing innocent people '.e. Muslims and maybe you wont get this. Revenge is sweet. I dont have much sympathy since I found out that the US shot down an Iranian plane killing 270 people. This must have been their act of revenge.
Apparently, and I don't know how true this is, but rescuers found a flight attendant alive in the cockpit wreckage but were unable to do anything to save her.
I worked at Annan in 2001 with a man called Dave Ray, who lived in Lockerbie and saw the plane explode and come down. He called in at the Police Station to tell them. The police officer asked him if he'd been drinking. Then the phone rang. Dave said the police officer went white, and said "My God, you're right!" We can only imagine what that night was like for all Lockerbie residents. My thoughts will be with them on 21/12/08, the 20th anniversary of this awful disaster.
I'll be on my way through Lockerbie on 21st December this year (the 20th anniversary), on my way back to visit my parents in England from my home near Belfast. Will be calling in to pay my respects at the cemetary there. I remember the news reports like it had happened a few weeks ago.
Some of the passengers were apparently conscious when they hit the ground, but most of them wouldn't have been.
Many of them would have been rendered unconscious, if not killed, by the initial explosion and decompression - the whiplash from that would have broken people's necks, and debris would also have knocked people out.

In as much 1988 ended and 1989 started with a string of disasters, it seems that the same is happening 20 years later in 2008/09!
(Sorry for repeating thrice, but I had to!)

Thankfully.
