is there supposed to be no sound?

# 50 in the list of 50 Greatest Cartoons. Also the first cartoon to cameo Hollywood personalities, to be seen later in lots of cartoons, like Tex Avery's Hollywood Steps Out from 1956.
Felix was such a wild and crazy guy.

@corwinorr That would be former Postmaster General William H Hays, who was, by 1922, President of the Motion Picture Producers and Distributors of America (MPPDA), an institution whose primary function is censorship and ratings.

Shakespeare puns? Masterful animation? Miming? I love it…

@corwinorr I think that's meant to be Will Hays

@camilelcoyne Will Hays, Mack Sennett and Gloria Swanson. Can't tell you who the director at the end is, though. It's neither DeMille nor Griffith.

Really? I'm taking that class too, except my school calls it Cinema 106. I have to watch it for an exam. Complicated exam really, there's multiple choice, fill-in-blank, true or false, and match-up. What makes it different from all other exams though is that the teacher shows a scene from a film and we have to guess what it is and answer his questions about it (usually 'who made it' or 'when did it come out').
