My granddads uncle was in the Northumberland Fusiliers. He was wounded by machine gun fire during the attack on Hill 70. He died a few days later. Fast forward to 1939 and my granddad joined the Royal Navy.

My great uncle William Peter Cummins was also killed here on the 25th September, his body was never found (or not identified)

@SidiRunner2 My grandfather George Gribbon was with the 7th Cameron Highlanders at Loos. He was wounded, but thankfully survived the War. Lest We Forget.

Nice vid , my Great-granddad fought in the battle of Loos , we think he got gassed there because he got gassed in WW1 , we don't know when but it was highly likely it was there
I have so much pride in him ,

Glad you liked the video and thanks for your comments. This battle saw the first use of gas by the British, unfortunately the wind changed and it blew back onto the advancing troops. If it was Loos where your Gt. Grandfather was gassed, it was the British that did it!
