Thanks Michael , for a newcomer to the area its very informative (apart from the population remark). Nashua has clearly seen better days than what it is like now. As a European I'm pretty dismayed at what your governements allow to happen to their smaller cities. Lowell is a shithole, Lawrence is worse , I cant even work out where the "city" centre is in Salem. Nashua at least has some promise but whilst planning laws permit malls and allow downtowns to deteriorate theres not much hope.

Two books you might like--The Nashua Experience: History in the Making (covers from the 1600s to 1978), and The Nashua Experience: A Three-Decade Upgrade, 1978-2008. Both written by Nashua public librarians.

I went to that school

Just watched and the population of Nashua is not 200,000 it is more like 86,000. Perhaps the regional population is that high

if you notice my thesis in the beginning, I didn't talk about transportation like i wanted. I only had 7 minutes to work with. Find me the information or where to look to research the history of the skateboard parks. I do consider this part of an important improvement to the Nashua Parks and Recreation development.
