ok man so here is ma question: i got my first electric guitar just last christmas and it's a squier and it came with a cable and amp... all that. but there's this problem with it that when the cable moves from the outside of the jack, it makes this loud crackly sound. and im pretty sure it's because of the fact that the cable is having what we call here in brasil "mal contato" which means bad contact (cable with jack) and i was wondering, is it cus it's a crappy cable? or is it my guitar??
@jondawg123 start by getting a new cable...get a name brand you can afford. or even take the guitar to the music shop and plug in a cable. (or just use the other end of your cheapo cable). if it still crackles, it is a loose jack on the guitar. some cheap cables sound good, but the connectors suck. my expensive ones end up shorting out too.
