@MidwestMockingbird Tell me how the gospel has to do with appeasing the anger of deity or justice? I thought it was a divine rescue mission? And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world (1 John 4:14). The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the works of the devil. (1 John 3:8). "He appeared to take away sins"(1 John 3:5), for he is "the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world."(John 1:29). Saved from sin, why the need for wrath?
"Rob Bell’s denial of eternal punishment goes hand in hand with a warped view of the gospel. No wonder. Each error fuels and exacerbates the other. Eliminate every hint of punishment for sin; ignore the wrath of an offended deity; dismiss the demands of divine justice, and you abolish any need for the gospel." -John Macarthur, Pastor of Grace Community Church
@evaninnorway your missing the point to the whole lecture i feel bad for you if all u heard out of that hour and a half lecture was that he said walawi was in west Africa when its really in east southern
@guitarfromheaven his whole presentation is based on science, and factual evidence. He is using those things to base his arguments on...so it kind of does matter when some of them are wrong i think
@evaninnorway If Malawi is in west or east doesn't matter. Probably he made other mistakes in this presentation, but what is really important is that "the essence", the idea of the video has been understood...
@MidwestMockingbird Why blame the dark for being dark? It is far more helpful to ask why the light isn't as bright as it could be.
