March 30, 2008 Eagles Canyon Raceway Clockwise Video starts as the track goes green. For the next 3 laps I attempt to catch a Viper GTS (451 RWHP and racing slicks) while driving my 165 rear wheel horsepower Exige (normally aspirated 2006 model on street tires).

  • Id say you are a bit better driver than the guy in the viper. Need to dial a little understeer out of the car and if you can keep it smooth you will be faster.

  • @billyjack70 Thanks. This video is pretty old at this point. Since then I've put over 30K track miles on the Exige and now instruct others. These days I'm probably a bit smoother. :)

  • @richsoule 30K track miles!? Wow that is a lot! Im surprised any motor can live up to that and still have decent compression or have you rebuilt it?

  • as they say;

    cars go fast in straights

    drivers go fast in turns

  • even still, i think the viper driver was just really bad. he was way off apex on many of the corners, unless he waited to get a straigher shot out of the corners?

  • Viper was really being slowed down by the cars in front of him

  • the exige looks SO fun to drive =D

  • Good job on the driving.
