I'm sure it's a memory issue..
You have RAM (fast memory, limited in size) and solid-state storage (slow memory, lots of space).
It looks like the Pre & iPhone, when you're not actively viewing a page, take the page off the RAM and put it on the solid-state memory, to free up working RAM for other tasks. It makes sense. I'd rather wait a few seconds for it to load old processes from solid-state memory than to have new processes slowed by lack of available RAM.

at 1:20 where he opens an already LOADED webpage, it loads it again. Just like tabs on the iphone! This is a pain in the ass why cant they just keep the page openÉÉ

Seems Pre in not quite responsive to touches?

yep, you're 100% correct. If you watch the lag points you, it's very easy to see that he was in the middle of loading up a page and rendering it in the background. When he pulls up his task switcher, the page is rendered and all works smoothly.

I think it is because he is loading other web pages and running other programs in the background at the same time he is trying to zoom. These demonstrators and viewers need to realize no matter how good your device is if you are running a ton of stuff at once you will get lag. Just like on your computer.
