David Ruffin recorded this on the MOTOWN label which is direct from my 45 rpm single, (there's a longer version!), not that long after in the early 90's he died (mentioned in the brilliant film "The Temptations"-1998), a departure from my Classic 60's Motown for a change, and was a US Gold disc! I saw David perform at small clubs in Houston after he left the Temps. Got to meet him and shared a drink with him backstage. The second time he remembered me and invited me to his dressing room again, I was surprised that this 'legend' remembered me. He was courteous, very nice and thanked me for being a fan. The best.
