Rolling bridge is a unique design by Thomas Heatherwick. When activated, this simple footbridge transforms itself, snake like, into a perfect octagon -- rather resembling a hamster wheel. Operates every Friday 1200 hrs.

An awesome bit of architectural design (and anxious to see Heatherwick's Olympic cauldron for the London 2012 games!) And yet... for the first 60seconds of this video... all I can see is a slowly erecting phallus!

Thanks for the upload. I lived in London for ten years, spend a couple of weeks there at least every year - if not more - and did not know of the existence of this bridge although I can place where it is from logic!
