**This is a short sample from GCSEPod® Rocks and Landforms. The full title is over 20 minutes long and includes 4 Chapters. **

No matter where you live, you cannot help but notice the landscape around you. Whatever your local landscape is like, it has been formed by the types of underlying rocks and the processes at work on these rocks. Some rocks are more resistant than others, so it takes longer for them to be shaped by water and wind, but even the most resistant rocks have been continually altered, ever so slowly, over millions of years. Some landscapes, such as those found in the Lake District, are the result of processes no longer acting, like erosion by glaciers. But even these landscapes are still being continually altered by wind and rain. This title examines the processes at work on our landscapes, the scenery that is created when these processes act on three rock types, and the human uses of these areas.
