the bass line is in mixolydian mode , theres not so many scales applyng on this scale(?)

gambale plays some notes out of the tonality as color, but the main scale is myxolydian

@Bundloc Actually, its up to you to mix up the modes as you want soloing on something like this since Jeff Berlin pretty much grooves on one note, many scales can be applied to that.

@TheW4RP1G Actually this music is kind of like an acquiered taste (I'm not sure how to spell it, but you know what I mean) and there is a melody, but it's one of those kinds of music that takes more effort to listen to, but once you do understand it more you come to like and appreciate it more. No music is bad because you can learn from all music at any skill level.

Jazz is the ultimate try-hard music. Frank Gambale is a good example of it too. All this musical knowledge, no feeling or beautiful harmonies, just complex scales and progressions.
