@inisboy1 you are vile and still living in the past. Grow up. Most people i meet in Ireland are decent people that are looking to the future. I'm an English protestant and I'm moving to Derry in the new year and marrying my Irish Catholic girlfriend.

@seannolan11 saying the majority of people living in NI squatters , is a little discriminating, bordering racist, thesve been there over 400 years , they arnt scots or english or welsh but northern irish , shall all white europeans leave n america, are they not squatters to, most being there less than 150 years or so, shall europeans leave australia or new zealand, being called squatters , a non person ,by native irish , shows the reason why unionists dont want a united ireland

@seannolan11 he is when he puts a bomb in a public house in birmingham, killing civilians that had nothing to do with the troubles ,not a military target, some of irish descent themselves , or when they bomb their own town, killing catholics and protestants alike, terrorism in anyones book , apart from the provos themselves , and what has kneecapping 14-15 year old catholics got to do with a united ireland, english? most unionists are scottish descent, and NI has its own government practically

The poet-hero Sands will be remembered long after the great great great grandchildren of his bigoted anti-Irish detracors are forgotten.
The war is over let's win the peace.
Victory to the Scottish and Irish Republican movements!

I'm an English man with Irish parents & on a visit to Offaly it was explained to me like this.... " If you came home tonight & found a squatter in your living room, what would you do?".... "Through him out", said I... "Well the English are squatting in our living room", said he. We've been squatting there for 450 years & enough is enough. The World has changed & we need to change with it. I'm not condoning violence from either side but is a man a terrorist for fighting to free his homeland?.

@Noddy1690 As I said earlie, my admiration for Bobby Sands stems not from what he did but from who he was. Actually, I have respect for any man (or woman) who is willing to stand up and put themselves in harms way for the place or people they love. Even if I don't always agree with what the pols are doing with them.
Without the what it's true I wouldn't know about the who, but the who not the what is the man I suspect I would like personally. As I probably would like many people on both sides.
