  • the best version of the great symphony

  • The subtle brass blending with strings at 2:19 is so dark and brilliantly dissonant.

  • 8:30 is my favorite, so soulful

  • Another great piece used to set the scene for battle in Legend of the Galactic Heroes.

  • This is the best performance of this symphony that I have ever heard. I have two recordings of it, and have seen it live a half dozen times. The orchestra and conductor simply nailed it.

  • Удивительно, просто удивительно исполнения дирижер и оркестр

  • This is a magnificent rendition of this symphony. The record companies should listen to this and invite this conductor to record this symphony and other works such as Rachmaninov's 3rd, and Shostakovich's 11th. I think that Mestro Leytush should record Tchaikovsky's symphonies and other orchestral works. He should also record Rachmaninov's orchestral works. I have been listening to this performance for over a year now and each time I like it even more.

  • @JMR6916 I agree. That part is one of the best parts i ever heard in music.

  • i play timpani on this i want the end of this mvt to be played at my funeral with the absence of timpani

  • great clash at 0:36 and without cymbals!!! performed with great vitality and speed, and how it should be performed, I gather. This first movement is so unlike any symphonic first movement in the whole of musical literature. It displays an entire range of emotions in a matter of minutes in a surprising way

  • 9.00 not too shabby either!

  • That´s how Tchaikowsky should sound !

    Russian style !

    @BachStrad95: That´s what I call pedantry
