Now this was a very interesting clip.
This is almost like the French version of "Beowulf and Grendel", except this was in real life, and not in a famous fictional poem.

@thecajuncutthroat about the range point, the range for the the sliver bullets to be effective shows that the hunter had to be was way too close that a wild animal would allow a man to come close to it, especially one that has no fear of man and sees man as prey.
-
@thecajuncutthroat all this shows that a man had to have been involved and used the beast to cover his tracks. it's possible that the man killed them and when he was done his got his beast mess over the bodies.and when he taught he was going to get caught or wanted that bounty he killed the beast and took the credit.

@thecajuncutthroat hey great video but i expect nothing less but masterpieces from you. i watched a show of the beast and they proved that sliver bullets are way less effective than lead bullets so for the hunter have killed the beast he would have had to have been in close range which proves that he KNEW the beast.all the victims were women and children and wasn't one of them RAPED what animal does that. and why would the beast leave a region rich in prey?

erm...woman and children, found naked, throats cut, can we say serial killer? the wolves probably ate the victims after they were dead, what a shame they don't exhume some of the bodies and try to find out what really happened.

The footage in this video look great, would anyone care to tell me what movies they got their footage from? I know one is Brotherhood of the Wolf but I'm wondering if there is another movie on top of that?

apparently you guys haven't heard the new theory? spotted hyena. killed with a silver bullet. owner/trainer of the animal, was the very man who killed it. one, the whole silver bullet crap. silver is an atrocious metal for a bullet to be made of. two, the animal attacked and killed how many people? but, stood broadside for a kill shot. three, no native animal, hybrid or other, had jaw size and strength that matched what the beast had. yet another theory

Some of that footage is from a movie of Brotherhood of the Wolf...

This is some interesting stuff. Dear God, what was that?! And could it happen again? I watched animal X and they came to the conclusion that it could have been a wolf-dog hybrid that was trained to kill as part of a conspiracy against King Louis XV. A little far-fetched, but with what little we know about this, and how long ago it was, seems that it could have been anything.
My video is based on the book of the serious historian Jean-Marc Moriceau : "La Bête du Gévaudan".
A meticulous and fastidious investigation about this affair.
