In 2005, Mayor Francis Slay was forced to defend his failures as a police board member, which including failing to notice that the dept was manipulating data to appear crime was going down when it was actually going up. He was re-elected but his performance as the city's only elected representative on the police board didn't improve as scandal after scandal eventually got the attention of the FBI and the U.S. Attorney.

Ohhh, okay, so poor people are just too lazy to get a job. Gotcha. Thanks for closing the door on a rational debate.

"Extremely smart"? HAHAHHAA Have ever read this guy's column? Has he ever written about anyone demonstrating personal responsibility? The answer is a resounding "NO". Either you are black and blinded by race, or you are white and feel guilty about slavery. With Sylvester, it is always someone else's fault, and taxes need to be raised on the working man in order to pay for more social programs to give to the lazy people who blame others for their misfortunes.

I fail to see how pointing out the failures of local government amount to being a racist prick. Brown is actually extremely smart, as anyone who reads his column can attest.

Sylvester Brown is one dumb bastard, not for questioning Slay, but for being a racist prick that thinks the government should solve all the world's problems.
