1888 Debate! Righteousness By Faith

Video showing how in 1888 the leaders of the SDA rejected the Gospel of Jesus and stuck with their own version of the gospel. Also I discuss where the SDA is today and will make a video showing what the SDA must do to be accepted as a Christian organization and not a religious cult.

sir, the Seventh Day Adventist Church to this day officially holds the doctrine of Arminianism as concerning the understanding of Righteousness by Faith. Arminians such as the Methodists are also universally recognized as genuine Christians by the Christian world. This view is what is espoused by the Church today. the 1888 Message was a message of righteousness by Faith that was distinctly different than Arminianism. it was the idea that Jesus, through His atonement, had actually saved everyone.

@bobblehead792001 Your like of knowledge about your own people is amazing. SDA leaders rejected righteousness by faith at the 1888 convention. That was what caused the schism then and to a degree now. What SDA accept is righteousness through keeping the abolished Sabbath and follow failed prophecy and bad interpretations by scholars who do not have a clue as to what the Bible teaches.

you missed the whole point of the 1888 message. Christ Our Righteousness is the gospel. Through the power of Jesus Christ we can and must have the character of Him. "Be ye perfect as my Father in Heaven is perfect."

I know exactly what happened there and what the debate then and after was all about. Ellen White wrote that the message brought by Jones & Waggoner would never be given again by God to the Seventh Day Adventist church. The subsequent apostasy in WW1 where they rejected God's law and went to war transgressing the sixth commandment, Thou shalt not kill, can be traced back to that very point.

Hey i'm the 15 year old. I'm wondering if u can do me a favor. Forget SDA, forget E.G.White, & forget everything u have said about us. Please just open your Bible, ask God for a clear & open mind & just read. Don't ask pastors or friends about wut u should read, just read. when my dad took that challenge all he could feel was anger because he felt like he had been lied too all his life. My recomendation for the Bible is a KJV or NKJV there the closest u can get to the original translation.
