A very short walking test, which actually took a rather long time.
Heres a few tips if your trying to make your clay characters walk:
-Before animating try acting out how your character is going to move and use your own body as a guide to how your going to make him walk
-Depending on what kind of clay you use, if its really soft stick it in the fridge over night, if its rather hard put it under a lamp to soften it up a bit, make sure it sticks to the table or your character will constantly fall over, and trust me its annoying.
-When your animating his legs don't forget the other parts of his body like his arms and his head, moving the arms and head in a fast full swing motion creates the effect of happiness, whilst making the head face down and the arms almost touching the ground you will create the effect of sadness.
Hope these tips helped you.
(Might do a tutorial for this some time)
Do you use wire skeletons for your models? It must have been hard to keep the red guy's head up while he was walking.
