Imposing sanctions never works against a country, and even worse, against Iran it would ruin any progress we have made in the last few months.

We have made progress, and need to continue efforts to open Iran up to observation.

These warmongers in congress need to be prevented at all costs from bringing about yet another war.

Iran is not weak, and trying to ruin the lives of its citizens will only unite them against us, not against their government.

If I were the president, I'd worry about the actually important things here at home, not what's going on in some nation thousands of miles away that may or may not be making nukes and helping the terrorists in Iraq.

Do these people in Congress EVER read studies or empirical evidence on any subject? If so, they'd know that sanctions don't work! And it's common fucking sense. Have we removed Castro's regime? No! Saddam was still as powerful as ever in 2003. The only place where sanctions actually 'worked' in recent memory is perhaps South Africa, or at least that's what I've heard. Simply cutting off our exports to a certain nation does NOTHING to hurt the regime. They'll find ways around it.

Lies! All lies! Not a single word of what these hawks say is true... other than the fact that Iran is a leading state sponsor of terror. But that's been the case for YEARS. You think it just happened suddenly?  And besides, "global" terrorism? I doubt it. I'm pretty sure they limit it to Hezbollah and other groups in the Palestinian-Israeli region.
