Its a scratch track for the sound producers to hear how the vocals fit the song. Hes not singing serious so he doesnt ruin his voice for the real recording

this is after kurt blew out his voice doing lithium for the day. thus his voice is all jacked up, but they needed to make use of the time at the studio so they laid down what musically is basically the same basic tracks as the final version.

this is a scratch vocal, this is kurt singing and this is nirvana playing. the same kids claiming this to be fake when it's been verified as real are likely the same kids who think "asshole" and "all because of you" are real. get new ears plz
he does not sound like this because he ruined his voice on a lithium "demo". it's not a demo, they were tracking drums. he sounds like this because it's just a scratch vocal and you don't want to destroy your voice doing something that won't be used anyway
