A biology teacher from my school is in the navy. These are the sort of things he gets up to in his spare time!
The black dust is from a sunken WWII barge which they didn't know was there and was filled with 10 tonnes of explosives. They were only trying to clear mines!

Holy fucking shit. For anyone's who's interested; I searched depth charges while watching a classic (brilliant) war film called Das Boot. If you want to watch one of the best naval war films made, a very thrilling on edge film, search it on youtube. there are a few providers.

@GrindingGrindcore I agree with you on all matters. Humans are totally wrecking this planet. What I'm trying to say is there are bigger things to worry about with the fate of the environment than a simple depth charge.

@GrindingGrindcore You know, power stations around the world probably kill hundreds of millions of animals and pollute hundreds of millions of times worse than a simple depth charge detonation. In fact, depth charges are extremely clean explosions.
