The founding of the state of Israel was based on firmly-held views of Jewish history but new research questions some of its most fundamental principles. Do new perspectives on Israel's past require a new vision of its future?

Oral history is the worst kind - look today - despitee mass media, cameras everywhere, you can hear within 24 hours, one account of something, and another different one, and another.

We know far more about Ancient Egypt now than Egyptians did a thousand years ago.

He'd be doing pretty well, in Egypt, right about now. And be among the heros in Libya.

If parts of history are myth, or legend - then it is NECESSARY to revise it in light of the evidence.

That how is we come to know of myths and legends, by revising them. Especially when ancient historians used such poor scrutiny, and relied on almost entirely folk tales, oral history.

  • "I don't think books can change the world..."

Coming from the place of the Old Testament, Gospel and Qur'an.

lol - a bit ironic, had to say it.

the divisions among Jews are an illusion. (Friedemann herself has renounced her Jewish identity.) As Friedemann's husband, Joachim Martillo, notes, "Jews, who want to be decent human beings, have no choice but to renounce being Jewish and serve the anti-Zionist struggle (right now)."

  • This lunatic is a revisionist historian. Total nutbar. He says Israel is not a democracy?! I'd like to see how long he would last if he was in an islamic country chanting this sort of concept. I suggest he would have a fatwah on his head ...
