A snapshot of a great time spent on Kuredu in the Maldives and the friends we made who were also on honeymoon. We spent the evenings getting reasonably smashed, downing drinks of all kinds, some great cocktails, enjoyed the hermit crab racing, the strange experience of a strawberry flavoured hooka, and absorbing the atmosphere of being in paradise. On the last day we all went snorkelling together, and managed to see some huge moray eels and turtles. Top banana!

Hi, did you stay in a Sangu Jacuzzi Beach Villa? We're plannin on going this year, and I think the Koamas jacuzzi villa has a bed beside the jacuzzi, but the sangu doesn't - also it's more expansive :S
What's in the Sangu villa? why is does it cost more? Does it have something extra? Or what? Thanks :)

Don't be put off though, it's a great destination. I recommend the over-water spa, which has private jacuzzis looking out over the sea and if you can, go on the "Robinson Crusoe" trip, where you have half a day on your own island. The snorkelling is excellent, and if you dive I recommend booking onto the double dive boat, which leaves early, but goes further afield and has you back by early afternoon, leaving plenty of day for you to relax. Also the top level all inclusive is worth it the extra.

Ours did not have a bed by the Jacuzzi, but to be honest we only used the jacuzzi once. During the day it's easier just to pop in the sea, which is less than 50yards from your door, and at night, when we attempted to use the jacuzzi the lights in the garden attracted in mosquitoes, making that particular experience quite unromantic! I recommend taking plenty of anti-histamine/tiger balm, asit's expensive to buy there and my wife did get bitten by the sand flies. I was not touched by them though!
