1 lb. lean ground beef 1 egg 1/2 c. Italian seasoned dry bread crumbs 1 jar (1 lb. 10 oz) Ragu Chunky Pasta Sauce 4 Italian rolls about 6 inches long, halved lengthwise 1 c. shredded mozzarella cheese
Combine ground beef, egg and bread crumbs in medium bowl. Shape mixture into 12 meatballs. Arrange meatballs in crock pot slow cooker. Pour pasta sauce over meatballs. Cook on low 8-10 hours or on high 4-6 hours or until meatballs are done. Serve meatballs and sauce in rolls, topped with cheese.
I found these to be a little soft--so if I did it again, I would go easy on the bread crumbs. I would also add a lot more flavoring with spices (Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper) and possibly cook with only half the sauce and remove from the slow cooker, warm up the remaining sauce and use it as a 'gravy'.
