so your a personal trainer and your telling people to curve their back as they situp, i guess thats why people hurt their back, cause of people who dont know anything about physics and anatomy telling people to do things with bad form, yeah thanks for the misinformation, your torso should never curve because it puts the pressure on the disks in your spine instead of the abs, please stop lying to people who are seeking information.

guess what i studied kinesiology at "the university" too, and guess what crunches are more effective at working the rectus abdominus which is what you are talking about, but unfortunately a proper sirup is done with the upper body hinging at the hip, making it an excercise of the hip flexors and rectus abdomens, now if you want to work you abs as a hole, and specifically properly work the transverse abdominus then you should do them as i was saying, :P, and no you cant find it in every thesis.

If you want to exercise abdomen, you have to curve your back, but curving in the right way. It is only muscle when you have to curve back. Trust me, I study these on the university. You can find it in almost every thesis(including abdomen) from universities in the whole world.
