This is clip (1) of (4) of our group's trip down to Sakumono Beach (or "Mighty Beach", as I believe it is called locally), on Easter Monday of 2010.

This is very typical of a public holiday in Ghana, where Ghanaians flock to the beach. Indeed, the beaches are very crowded, and often difficult just to get to.

In this clip, I take Eli's three-year old son down so he can get in the water. However, he was a little small for the waves, so as they came in, we stood out of the water so he wasn't exposed to any danger.

The day ends, and we head back up to the car, but on the way we film an area of the beach that has been turned into a dance floor, with music pumping in the background. Eli also gets more gratuitous footage of the female anatomy for fans of his camerawork.

  • Nice video. I would love to visit Ghana one day. I have met some wonderful Ghanain people in Europe, would be nice to see their country:))

  • @mya7307 - well, I do hope that your idea is converted into a plan really soon.

Ghana is a great place, but I think you have to travel outside of Accra to see most of the best stuff. I thoroughly recommend the Western & Central Regions, for example, as there is so much to see.

  • I hate to say this as an African American but if you had that many Blacks here in the States hanging at the beach without lots of security something really bad would likely happen before too long. And yet many blacks here laugh at Africans and think of them as being the uncivilized ones.

  • @Charliesonbaahsonsky Ghana people know how to care of kids,,they are friendly , polite and respectful,,because they are busy at helping parents and working,,Child without activity become spoiled and rude,,,like in most west countries,,Child must be disciplined,,Trees are very important,,gives cool air,,good grand,,beauty,,Coconate trees do not take space,,and vie is so nice,,no dust,,fresh ..I plan to live in Ghana and i plant at least in my property 100 trees,,Mangos big ones//

  • @mocny01 First of all thank you for that compliment; And i do agree with you 100 percent on the cutting of trees in Ghana. That is something my people are struggling with considering the fact that it generates some income but at the same time the government of day constantly makes a conscious effort to educate the people of Ghana to plant more trees.

  • @Charliesonbaahsonsky I have been in Philippines and few months in Ghana ,,people in Ghana cut so many trees and the land is hot now,,,Look around the beach ? no coconat trees ,,just few only,,It is good to plant a lot of trees,,,for benefit all people,,I like people in Ghana ,,very nice and friendly to White man,,Watch my videos,,many from Ghana,,,I think Ghana is more rich than Philippines

  • @gacaptain I dont resent your comments; but also know that many Africans are educated. It is just that the mainstream media has brainwashed many African Americans in believing that Africa is full of poor, unsophisticated and uncultured people by showing the National Geographic Channel which constantly blinds them about the good territories of Africa. Honestly Africa is nicer than Jamaica and most Carribean territories. If you like browse about houses in Jamaica and Africa(Ghana) and see?

  • all de best women are all inside in Africa !!
