Lizzie: no Not Nick and Joe they wouldnt
*Nick and Joe*
Nick held his stomach, then went back into his defense mode. Joe did the same.
Nick: You actually hit me!
Joe: You asked for it!
Nick: I always thought you cared about me, but I guess the whole brotherly love thing was a LIE!
Joe: Nick
Nick: JUST SAVE IT FOR THE MAGAZINE INTERVIEWS!
Nick turned around. Joe put his hand on his shoulder.
Joe: Nick please-
Nick fiercely turned around and pushed him back. Joe jolted. Joe couldnt control himself, he took one stomp close to Nick to catch his blance, and as he did, his fist dug up Nicks ribs, Nicks eyes widened then strained and closed, he fell into the water. His last breath of air broke lose. Joe didnt mean to, his heart sunk watching his brother float to the bottom of the pool.
Kevin turned his head and saw Nick sinking into the water.
Kevin: Nick!
Joe blinked and turned his head to see Kevin running threw the water as fast as he could.
Kevin: WHAT DID YOU DO?!
Kevin ignored him and dove down after Nick, he was standing at the edge of the deep end before he was punched and then fell into the deep end. Kevin grabbed his foot and pulled him up over the water. He pulled him across the water and on to the deck. Everyone ran over. The blonde girl lifeguard came over to check if he was breathing.
Mandy: What did you do?!
Joe: I- I didnt mean to!
Lizzie: Yeah Thats why you shoved your fist up his GUT!
Joe: I- I dont know what came over me!
Lifeguard: Hes not breathing!
Joe: Oh great WHAT DID I DO?!
Joe put his head in his hands.
Colleen: Give him mouth to mouth!
Grace: WHAT?!
Savvy: Just do something! Hes dying!
The lifeguard gave him mouth to mouth. Nicks eyes boggled out as he sat up and started coughing repeatedly. He was choking on water in his lungs. He was coughing so much he was loosing air, he passed out and his head was falling back to the cement ground.
Lizzie: NICK NO!
Lizzie ran and slid her hands underneath his head so it didnt fall to the ground. Lizzie sat down and held his head in her lap. Everyone was hopping he would wake up.
Joe: Dont just stand there! Do something!
He yelled at the blonde lifeguard.
Lifeguard: Im sorry there is nothing I can do.
Joe was loosing faith, he was so upset at what he did he just wanted to hug his brother again, and wish this whole thing had never happened.
Lizzie: Nick pleasewake up.
Kevin: What made you do this to your brother anyway JOE?!
Joe: I- I cant tell you. Not here.
Kevin: What?! TELL ME!
Joe: Nick will hate me more! Just wait
Kevin: Okay But mom and dad are going to hear about this.
Joe sighed. He didnt know what they were going to do or say to him, but he knew he deserved it. Nicks afro head was still in Lizzies hands. Lizzie couldnt take it, all the pressure was building up, she hadnt told Nick much about her, and she thought she wouldnt be able to. One tear fell out of the crease of her eye and landed on Nicks cheek. Nicks eyes squinted open seeing Lizzies wet eyes closed.
Nick: Li-hizz-ie?
Nick was having trouble breathing, EXTREME TROUBLE. Lizzie opened her eyes.
Nick: Are *short breath* y-ou O-kay?
Lizzie: Yeah but are you?
Nicks head was still in her lap.
Nick: I *short breath* fine
Lizzie: You dont sound fine. You sound like a wheezing giraffe.
Joe: listen! Nick I didnt mean it!
Nick ignored him.
Joe: Please talk to me! Say something!
Nick: You are *short breath* nothing but- a LIAR!
Joe: Nick
Nick: Just- GO!
Joe was frustrated and sorry about what he did to Nick. He stormed down the deck and to the bench across the street.
Nick: Can *Two short breaths* I- talk *short breath* to- you alone- Liz?
