1976 Documentary from ABC's Wild World of Sports featuring Walt Blackadar and Barney Griffith on the Susitna River. However this is not the first descent, the first descent occured in 1972 and was also done by Walt Blackadar. This video is of the second descent.

That was one fearless guy. The music goes just right; I held my breath for much of that run. That is one mess of cold, grey, unforgiving water.
