John and Cindy sneaked around for over a year, while Carol raised their three kids.

John McCain married Cindy, just one month after divorcing Carol.

How Edward's affair gets turned into an Obama matter, I have no idea. Anyway, back to the topic, Edward's statement to the press was cold blooded. He referred to the woman he cheated with as "the woman". LOL He did not even say her name. That's some cold blooded shit. At least Clinton had the courtesy to say he "did not have sexual relations with that woman, Ms. Lewinsky."

Well then yes, it IS different than when someone like Larry Craig or David Vitter OR Elliot Spizter (D) gets busted. In Spitzer's case, he cracked down on prostitution and then got busted with a prostitute.

No Cenk your point that Edwards lying to you is excuseable from a narcissistic POV is weak, here is why: his failure to own up to his personal failing when confronted by it speaks to his character. sex is his fatal flaw - i got it - but you must have the courage to be truthful especially when you seek public office - otherwise how can we trust you? the issue is accountability not the act. i can deal with a scoundrel. i cannot deal with a liar. otherwise good points :)

Well maybe if it was a none issue the DC Madame would not have had to die. She was going to squeal on a lot of Congressmen who hire hookers. So was that a suicide or a HOMOCIDE? I am not sure Congressmen to know no limits in covering up, that I do know. Who Edwards gets his poon from I don't care but HOMOCIDE I might care about.

And on the subject of weather or not this is a story that should have been reported, hell yeah they should have been reporting this. He might not be an active government official, but he came in 3rd in a democratic primary that's technically not officially over yet. For what ever reason Obama can't serve as the nominee, Edwards and Hillery's names get thrown back in there. He's not some private citizen that we should ignore. Possibly could have been a high level Obama cabinet member.

This is fucked up because if it turns out that the kid is his, that means Edwards was fucking this chick after his wife announced her cancer was back in March, and while he's still a major candidate for the democratic nomination. Shows horrible judgment and just an all around bad person. Hard to believe it's not his kid, because why else is he meeting in a hotel room late at night and holding the kid? No way DNC is letting him speak. That guys a dirt bag and a half.
