what if he just does a front role on to his back? what happens then?

I really like this demonstration because of the fact that you kept your weight on him as you stepped up a lot of these demos have the teacher telling you pop up onto your feet without mentioning the importance of your weight distribution.
that's a lot of letters. what I meant to say was awesome job with the detail

is this particular move Easier to do when you are Tall like myself(6ft tall)?? and can i bait my leg for him to grab so i can get under his right armpit so i can S-Grip easier??

@traphiccc air, most of your blood chokes come via pressure on the side of the neck (carotid arterty). Which you find in all the triangles.

If this doesn't choke, it cranks the neck, I just felt it 3 hours ago.
went for a double, failed. and I was expecting a arm triangle when the arm snaked through, but no. the guy pulled out this instead

Nice work, Dave!

I've had issues with the S grip not working on guys my size, but seems to give me the extra length on bigger guys, I'm not really sure which grip I like better, I'm still playing with it.

I have really long arms so i grab my wrist or edge of my hand to tighten it up a bit. When I use an s-grip it leaves too much of a gap. Its all preference though, but ive found guys with shorter arms benefit from s-grip.

great video!
Great question!
There are 2 reasons that this particular choke is more effective with the S-grip.
1. Reach distance. Check the difference. An s-grip gives you about 5-6" longer grip. When reaching all the way down for this choke, you need that distance.
2. Grip profile (i.e. how easy it is to slip under his chin). Try this yourself: Do an S-Grip and note the "thickness/profile" of the grip. Now try a wrist grab. The s-grip is "thinner" and is more likely to slip under his chin.
Try it!

I prefer the gable grip.. especially if its a strong opponent.
