Southwest Chief In Lawrence Kansas At Dawn

Train #4 was just over an hour late today, and there was a little light. It was 22 degrees, and clear. The lead locomotive was #66, and trailing was #65. It sounded like #66's horn may have had a touch of bronchitis, but the crew gave it plenty of exercise. The camera...(which my German Shepard Maggie ATE)...managed to work long enough to get the video. The Conductor gave us a rousing "ALL ABOARD!"...Happy New Year!....Doc n' Kelly

Just finding this video, 09/14/2011. Thanks for posting, I know THIS Conductor Personally. His name is Chuck Bailey, he was regular Conductor with Engineer Dennis McCreary during the time this video appears to be taken. If the upload date is correct, that would've been the return trip from DDG to KCY before the Conductor and AC got their 3 day break. He ALWAYS called 'All Board' EVERY train he worked for 13 years. Although, once he started working nights, he had to begin taming the volume!!
