Give Our Kids a Future March - Tottenham Riots Response

Last Saturday night, the British Media swarmed all over Tottenham in north London. They feasted themselves on the rioting that had exploded following the Police's killing of local man Mark Duggan. A week later, thousands of local residents and activists from all over came and took part in the Give Our Kids a Future rally and march from Dalston in Hackney to Tottenham Green. This event was a direct response to the previous week's events.
The event was fun, good-natured and massively supported. But, unlike during the rioting and looting - the British media were largely absent. There's a lesson there.

The birmingham march was shown on tv. Bit strange not to show a march in the area where things kicked
